Let me fly away with you.

I haven’t blogged in a long time, clearly.  I haven’t felt like writing or doing anything productive really.  I guess I still don’t really feel like it but I think it’s probably time to start doing something with the beautiful pictures I have strewn all over my desktop.

I did have positive things to say, however I’m now kind of sad and disappointed.  I have this weird feeling in my chest that just won’t go away.  I haven’t felt this in weeks and I’m back to caring about the fact that people are gossiping about me.  You people are ridiculous and I wish I didn’t mind so much.

I’m going to London tomorrow for a few days and then it’s time to go back to the seaside.  I can’t wait to be home and I hope it’s time to let go of all my bad feeling and start again.  I can’t wait to run at the cliffs and I can’t wait to be reintroduced to all food groups.

Things are looking up and falling into place, I think I should too.

Oh and I love you.

Holly.

This is the coolest thing I’ve seen in ages, it’s captivating.

My week has consisted of

Putting off a month’s load of washing until this afternoon.

Counting down the days until I no longer have to pay to wash my clothes.

Getting excited to wear my Miu Mius.

Smelling of Jo Malone Red Rose.

Living in squalor due to being too lazy to clean my room.

Enjoying the beauty of powernapping.

Loving being a blondie again.

Considering my options.

Watching:

Episode after episode of ‘The L Word’

Revolutionary Road

The entire first season of The O.C.

American Teen

Rachel Getting Married

CSI

Listening to:

Wild is the Wind - Nina Simone [on a constant loop]

Eating:

Celery and Salsa and Dairylea

Sour Worms, Fizzy Fish and Percy Pigs

I’m ready to get a life.

Don't rush through growing up. It's a priceless feeling to be able to break one more glass, skip one more class. There will come a time where things will slow down. And we will miss our days when being young and reckless was all that meant to us. Every tree started from a bud. You will do great things one day, but till then, live freely and without regret.

Karl and I are absolutely meant to be.

We just have so much in common, obviously including our shared love of Barbie.  She is - to me - the perfect woman;  so accomplished in many fields, both serious and frivolous.  Kind to her friends and animals, adored by reknowned designers the world over, always impeccably dressed and unashamed of her love for the colour pink.  Barbie is everything I wish I could be and probably the reason I have so many perfectionism issues!

I love the recent “Barbie and Ken” exhibition by Karl Lagerfeld for Collette.  The images were shot in celebration of Barbie’s 50th anniversary and feature a stunning real life male model,  Baptiste Giabiconi, as Ken alongside Barbie dolls.  Only one of each photo will be available for purchase as a silkscreen print but I’m sure you’ll be able to cope, just as I will by looking at them on the internet.  Here are my favourites:

I went back to my own shade of Barbie blonde today after several months as an ‘almost’ brunette.  I’m feeling much more myself already!

How perfectly described!

Alexander McQueen, Pre-Fall 2009.

So beautiful, I can’t wait for winter again.  So I can have every intention of emulating this look and then just shoving on a pair of leggings and UGGs…
